Annual Center for Advanced Study of Behavioral Science’s Behavioral Science Summit, July 11, 2013
Moderators for the summit, this year themed Creativity and Innovation, will be drawn from Pacific Standard’s editors and writers.
The daylong, invitation-only event will examine the state of behavioral science and its role in technology, the arts, business, and society as seen through the lens of creativity and innovation. Nobel laureate and one-time CASBS Fellow Daniel Kahneman, author of Thinking Fast and Slow, will deliver the day’s keynote.
The program will cover a wide range of topics, including eco-cities, music, supercomputers that use pulses of light instead of electrical signals, urban communities transformed, neuroimaging, intuition, complexity theory, and the effect of memory and emotion on the criminal justice system. During the conference, 15 noted speakers will present their ideas and insights on program tracks that highlight the role of creativity and innovation in the arts, technology, product design, workplace productivity and culture, psychology, neuroscience, and more.
